Advanced Process Control Consulting

We provide process design optimization for implementing the DeltaV integrated Fuzzy Logic Controls, Neural Networks Applications and Multi-Variable Predictive Controls. We also can provide coordinate integration and implementation of the various vendors (Pavilion, Aspen, GE-CCI) Advanced Process Control packages into your PRoVOX or DeltaV systems. 

Process Design

Whether you have a small or large capital addition to an existing plant, and/or are contemplating the design and purchase of a packaged skid, we can provide engineering and control design to integrate it into your plant facilities.

Hardware Specification

Starting from a preliminary I/O list, or P&ID's, we can provide a detailed hardware design, including BOM for either a PRoVOX or DeltaV system to control your plant.

Configuration Design & Implementation

Following the control logic design, DB Stuart Associates can bring it's years of PRoVOX and DeltaV implementation experience to bear in creating a professional and easily maintainable configuration design and implementation using either FST/Batch control logic (PRoVOX) of function block diagrams/batch state diagrams (DeltaV).

Display Design

Custom Display graphics are the key components in the Human Machine Interface (HMI) of a modern control system.  It is important that these displays provide all the information required by your operations personnel, and provide this information in an easily interpreted format.  DB Stuart Associates has many years of experience in working closely with its customers, particular the operations personnel, to develop and implement efficient and meaningful displays.

Documentation

As a standard part of any control project, DB Stuart Associates will provide as a minimum, well documented logic diagrams - SAMA's or State Diagrams in the case of PRoVOX, or self-documented logic diagrams printed from the DeltaV applications.  Optionally, DB Stuart Associates can also develop Operators and Engineers Manuals as required.

Training

Today's plant Engineers, Operators, and Maintenance people requires a wide and diverse knowledge and experience. Are your people ready?

Operator, Process Engineer, and Control Engineer training is very important. As part of our services, we provide training not only on the use of the PRoVOX, POC, or DeltaV systems but an understanding of how to use the systems' documentation. We can help set up standards for your plant.

Training of your maintenance personnel is a must. They will be called upon when no one else is available to solve problems. They must understand the hardware, the control system, and trouble shooting techniques. Their expertise needs are expanding very fast to include networking and PC hardware, Operating Systems (NT, Windows 2000), PRoVOX, POC, and DeltaV systems.
